A
special paint process was used on the two massive, curved,
walls of the locker rooms to give the mesmerizing effect of
being under water. A custom-designed, sandblasted, stylized
pattern of a wave breaks on the art glass wall transparently
separating the aerobics room from the reception/lounge area.
Movement through the space occurs as the curved entrance’s stone transforms into the practical rubber flooring of the main weight room. Color is used to alternately sooth the senses and elicit energy, and to draw you into the space. |
